Adamawa's Igbo Community Endores Gov. Fintiri Second Term Bid

Ahead of the 2023 general elections, Adamawa Igbo community has endorsed Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for a 2nd term of 4 years.

The endorsement was made at the Conference Hall Government House Yola, when the community paid him a courtesy visit.

 The Governor who spoke at the occasion described the Igbo people as resourceful and progressive, stating that his administration will not sit back and watch them disintegrate, but will instead work to maintain peace among them.

The Governor revealed that his administration has been fair to all residents and has ensured equitable distribution of resources to all types of people.

While urging them to come together and work with the government, and to avoid minor political differences that would divide them as Nigerians, the Governor insisted that his administration had been successful in reducing the threat of insecurity that had afflicted citizens, including Igbos, and in bringing stability to the state's various nooks and crannies.

Proving that he is detribalized Nigerian, the Governor gave 3 slots for 2 men and a woman to be selected from among the Igbo community for appointment in his administration

Speaking, the President General of the Igbo Cultural Association Adamawa State Chapter, Chief Fidelis Umeh, on behalf of the Igbo community formally endorsed Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri's reelection in the 2023 general elections.

While appreciating the Governor for bringing them together to resolve their differences amicably, the leader of the group said the endorsement is as a result of the Governor’s giant strides in the state.
