 MICHIKA CONCERN YOUTH FORUM COMMENDS AND PASS A VOTE OF CONFIDENCE ON THE REPRESENTATION OF SENATOR Ishaku Abbo 

The Michika Concern Youth Forum, wish to unequivocally acknowledge the love and support shown to Michika Youth by Senator Ishaku Abbo (SIA). The recently concluded APC National Convention, which sees the emergence of one of our intellectually mobile Youth, Jason Baba Kwaghe, as the APC North-East Zonal Youth Leader, did not come in a platter of gold. Senator Abbo fought hard to broker an endorsement deal for our brother to emerge as the sole consensus candidate. This effort attests to the love SIA has for Michika Youths. From the independent investigation, we learned that SIA has sacrificed so many resources to ensure Jason, his protégée and a political undergo, emerge the winner of this great office. Having one of our vibrant youth in the mainstream National Politics is a huge political achievement. Senator Abbo is a good man. We commend his good virtues and his sense of justice and fairness.

We cannot forget soon how hard SIA fought to ensure that the Kudzum bridge linking Michika to the rest of Adamawa State was reconstructed. The bridge was abandoned for several years. It is public knowledge; Senator Abbo was responsible for the reconstruction of Mubi Tsamiya road to Bazza. It has boosted the economic activities in Michika as access to the Mubi market has become easier now. The political colossus known as SIA has mentored several Michika Youths among his ranks. His Media Aide, Personal Assistance (PA), and Secretary are all from Michika. Among his confidant and close political allies are Michika Youths. The several water projects, culverts construction, and school’s construction in Michika are glaring for all to see.

It will be an open show of ungratefulness if we fail to publicly acknowledge the good gesture of SIA to our youths and community.

It will be a great disservice to our community if we fail to advise some of our political class from Michika, who are specialize in radicalizing our youths, turning them into political monsters to stop forthwith. Stop recruiting people's wards to fight your perceived political enemies, rather empower them. We indulge our politicians to emulate the good works of SIA. We are making demands on them to focus on youth empowerment. The greatness of a political leader is measured in terms of his impact on the life of the people. We urge you to focus on what will bring goodwill to our people and not what will stage a brother against a brother.

Finally, by this, we are passing a vote of confidence on the leadership and representation of Senator Ishaku Abbo. We are also not relenting to call on him to do more for our people. He should continue to focus more on youth development - skill acquisition, educational support, and entrepreneurship. We unequivocal want to assure him of our political support for this unprecedented gesture he has shown our community.
