CRIME: MAN STABS MOTHER DURING ARGUMENT IN ADAMAWA
A 22 year old Ibrahim Umar, of Michika Local Government Area, Adamawa state has been remanded in prison custody for stabbing his mother.
He was remanded in prison custody after he had admitted stabbing his mother, Hajiya Lami Mallum, during an argument which turned physical.
The Chief Magistrate Court I Yola, Adamawa state, presided by Mohammed Buba, remanded the defendant and adjourned the case to the 17th October, 2022.
NEWS PLATFORM gathered that an argument ensued between the defendant who hails from Zibadari in Michika and his mother which degenerated into a fight on the 12th September, 2022.
In the ensuing brawl, Umar was said to have fatally stabbed Hajiya Lami with a knife in the face as a result of which she sustained a grievious injury.
The victim who was rushed to the General Hospital Michika and is still on admission receiving treatment.
The defendant was arraigned before Chief Magistrate Buba, on Monday, by Inspector S.S.Nicholas.
During the arraignment, the prosecutor applied that that the content of the First Information Report be read to the defendant after which the later pleaded guilty as alleged.
