EXCOS OF OPPOSITION POLITICAL PARTIES JOINS PDP, PAYS SOLIDARITY VISIT TO GOV FINTIRI

The Executives of the major opposition parties in Adamawa state were in Government House Yola, for a solidarity to His Excellency Governor Ahmadu Umaru  Fintiri against the backdrop of appreciating his legacies and urged him to do more especially in his determination to bring unity, progress and development for benefits of Adamawa people. The delegation led by Alh Manu Ngurore comprises executives from NNPP, APC and SDP who decamped to PDP have unanimous throws votes of confidence on GAUF. 

In his response, His Excellency Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri appreciated their show of support and promised to listen to their advises all in the interest of people of Adamawa, he also thanked Alh Manu for knocking on his doors and his efforts in supporting and encouraging pupils go to schools at the villages.

However, His Excellency draws the attention of other people hyping the issue of cow tax, that the review of the tax is in the best interest of the state which is not even half of what other states like Taraba and Benue are collecting. That in Taraba state, vendors pay 60,000 as revenue while in Benue state they pay up to 80,000. But why the out cry here in Adamawa when the governor provided security and essential facilities in the cow market and more development are still on work plan. 

Meanwhile, the governor also revealed that there was a positive agreement between the cow vendors and the government, that this tax payment does not affect the breeders nor the minangis but solely of the vendors who gains more on the cattles. 

He therefore pleaded that this issue of tax should not politicise looking at its importance towards Community development.
