Gov Fintiri Congratulates Sen Binani Over Appeal Court Victory

Adamawa State Governor, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has Congratulated Senator Aishatu Dahiru Ahmed Binani over her victory at the Appeal Court, reaffirming her as substantive Adamawa governorship flagbearer of All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2023 elections.

The Governor revealed this at a campaign rally in Ganye on Thursday in continuation of his ward to ward campaign tour across the state ahead of the 2023 general elections.

Governor Umaru Fintiri says the judgement will no doubt deepen democracy in the state and the country in general.

An appeal court sitting in Yola has this afternoon set aside the ruling of a federal high court which voided the candidature of Aisha Dahiru Binani.

The panel of judges directed INEC to forward the name of Sen Aishatu Dahiru Binani to INEC as the Gubernatorial candidate of APC in Adamawa.

The panel also said the request by Malam Nuhu Ribadu for the conduct of fresh exercise amounts to academic exercise hence it was jettisoned
