GOVERNOR FINTIRI RESTATES COMMITMENT TO CONNECTING MORE RURAL COMMUNITIES TO NATIONAL GRID- PRAMBE

The Honourable Commissioner Ministry of Rural Infrastructure and community Development Hon. (Dr). Abdullahi Adamu Prambe has reemphasized the commitment of Governor Ahmadu Umaru   Fintiri to complete and connect more rural communities in the State to National grid.

The Commissioner made the statement today in Bille, Kpasham and Dong during the supervision of the ongoing  rural  electrification  project  in Demsa Local Government Area, Adamawa State.

Dr. Prambe said, Governor Ahmadu Fintiri's Administration is community driven and His Excellency is committed to ensuring that most of the rural dwellers in state  are connected to national grid before the end of his tenure.

It could be recalled that, on 14th September, 2022, the Adamawa State Executive Council has approved the completion of abandoned rural electrification in Bille, Dong, and Kpasham and the connection of So'o and Mapeo in Demsa and Jada Local Government Council areas to the National Grid.

The Commissioner added that when the communities are connected to the national grid, it will burst their economic activities and checkmate rural-urban migration

According to Abdullahi Prambe, Bille and Kpasham rural electrification contract was awarded by the Federal Government in 1997 noting that the project was abandoned and becomes a lingering issue prompting the state government to take up the project for the good of its citizenry. 

The contract was awarded to Electromax Engineering Nigeria Limited and is billed to be completed in the next 4 weeks.
