Burna Boy Becomes First Nigerian Artist To Receive 2 Riaa Platinum Plaques

 Nigerian award-wininig artiste Burna Boy has recorded another giant stride as his hit single 'Last Last' has surpassed a million units in sales in the United States.

According to a report by Chart Data, Burna Boy's track 'Last Last' has received a platinum plaque from RIAA after selling over a million copies in the US. The song was released in 2022 as one of the leading singles from Burna Boy's sixth album 'Love, Damini'. It quickly became an international hit, spending multiple weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 and peaking at No. 44.

The success of 'Last Last' has propelled Burna Boy to achieve his second RIAA platinum plaque as a lead artist, after his 2018 hit 'Ye'. This achievement has also made him the first Nigerian artist to receive two RIAA platinum plaques as a lead artist.
