SSG Ahmad, Tukur To Head Second Term Swearing-in C’ttee – Governor Fintiri
Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State Thursday directed with immediate effect formation of a committee for his second term inauguration come May 29, 2023.
He gave the directive during a meeting with People’s Democratic Party (PDP) critical stakeholders organised to celebrate victory at the polls which held in the Government House, Yola.
He said the committee will be co-chaired by Secretary to the State Government (SSG) Malam Bashiru Ahmad and Director General of the PDP Campaign Council, Barrister Auwal Tukur.
The Governor thanked the stakeholders for their immense contributions to the victory, and assured to continue to work with them towards deepening democracy in the country.
“Whichever way, you voted, Adamawa is for all of us. I’m the Governor for all of you. We must put hands on deck to build the state that our yet unborn generation will be proud of,” said Fintiri.
He said whichever way one voted, he remains the Governor for all, calling on Adamawa Stakeholders and the citizens to put hands on deck to build the state that the yet unborn generation will be proud of.
Governor Fintiri thanked the stakeholders for their tireless efforts to the party’s victory at the polls and assured that PDP will continue to lead Adamawa State.
The Director General PDP Campaign Council, Barrister Auwal Tukur thanked the stakeholders for their support throughout the electioneering period.
The State PDP Chairman, Barrister Tahir Shehu said Adamawa citizens have tested the dividends of democracy under Governor Fintiri urging party members to remain united.
Highlight of the meeting was a display of certificates of return to the stakeholders by Governor Umaru Fintiri and deputy deputy-elect, Professor Kaletapwa Farauta.
