ADAMAWA STATE HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY NAMES PRINCIPAL OFFICERS, HOUSE C'TTEE CHAIRMEN

YOLA - The Speaker Adamawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Bathiya Wesley , on Monday, announced the appointment of Hon. Kate Raymond Mamuon (Demsa constituency) as the new Majority Leader.NEWS PLATFORM

Rt. Hon. Bathiya, also announced the appointment of the Member representing Maiha constituency, Hon. Jingi Belel as Deputy M/Leader and Hon. Yerima Moses (Michika) as Chief Whip.

He also announced Hon. Japhet Hammajabu (Verre) as Deputy Chief Whip, Hon. Suleiman Umar Alkali (Yola North), Minority Leader, Hon. Umar Bobbo ismaila (Fufore/Gurin) Minority Whip.

Hon. Yohanna Sahabo jauro (Mubi South) is the Deputy Minority Leader, while Hon. Musa Abdulmaliki jauro (Ganye) Deputy Minority Whip.

The Speaker also announced the composition of the House Standing Committees thus: Deputy Speaker, Muhammad Buba jijjiwa(Jada /Mbulo) as Chairman Committee on Justice, Judiciary and Entrepreneurship Development, Hon. Japhet Kefas (Gombi), Chairman Committee on Information, Reconstruction, Rehabilitation, Re-integration and Humanitarian Services.

Hon. Calvin Kefas (Toungo), is to chair Local Government and Chieftancy Affairs Committee, while Sunday Peter (Guyuk) is to head the Committee on Legislative Compliance and Special Duties with Japhet Hammanjabu (Verre) as Chairman Committee on Works, Energy Land and Survey.

Member representating Leko Koma constituency, Hon. @Geoffrey bulus is to chair the Committee on Health and Human Services, while Hon. Kate Raymond Mamuno of Demsa constituency is the Committee Chairman on Women Affairs and Social Development with Hon. Moses Yerima of Michika as Chairman Committee on Water Resources.

Others include: Barr. Isamaila Umar Bobboi ( Fufore/ Gurin)as Chairman Committee on Commerce and Industries, while Ahmed Jingi Belel of Maiha constituency is to serve as Chairman Committee on Transport, Rural Infrastructure and Community Development. Hon. Bauna Myandasa (Lamurde) is to head house Committee on Youth, Sports Culture and Tourism.

Hon. John Alaba (Uba Gaya) is to Chair Committee on Education,Tertiary and Professional Institutions, while Rt. Hon. Kabiru Mijinyawa (Yola South) is to serve as Chairman Committee on Agriculture, Hon. Suleiman Umar Alkali (Yola North) Livestock and Aquaculture, Hon. Pwamwakeno Mackondo(Numan) House Committee on State Planning.

Chairman Committee on Rules, Business, Ethics and Privileges goes to Hon. Kate Mamuno (Demsa), while Hon. Haruna Jilantikiri (Madagali) is to chair Committee on Finance, Budget and Appropriation, Hon. Emmanuel Kefas (Song ) Chairman Committee on State Security and Social Development Goals.

While Member representing Shelleng constituency, Hon. Bulus Kantomon is the Chairman Committee on Public Petition, Public Service and Electoral Matters, Hon. Abubakar Abdullahi (Girei) Committee on House Services, while Hon. Ibrahim Musa (Mayo Belwa) Chairman Committee on Public Accounts.

Similarly, member representing Mubi North constituency,Hon. Paul Samuel as Chairman Committee on Mineral Resources, while the Committee on Interpaliamentary Affairs, Labour and Productivity goes to Hon. Njidda Babangida (Nasarawo Binyeri), Hon. Abdulmalik Mauro Musa (Ganye) Committee on Housing and Urban Development, and Hon. Yohanna Sahabo Jauro is to Chair Environment and Natural Resources Development Committee.
