Burnaboy breaks silence after Davido calls him a “New Cat”

Burnaboy, the award-winning Nigerian singer professionally known as Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, has broken his silence following Davido's statement referring to him as a "New Cat" in the music industry.

Previously, it was reported that Davido claimed Burnaboy, a Grammy Award winner, is a new artist and belongs to the same level as Asake, Mayorkun, Rema, Fireboy, and others. Davido also mentioned that he and Wizkid were instrumental in taking Afrobeats to the global stage and expressed his happiness at the success of the new artists.

Davido's comment sparked mixed reactions on social media, with some people disagreeing while others provided evidence supporting the notion that Burna Boy is relatively new to the music scene.

A few hours ago, Burnaboy, known for his hit song "Last Last," broke his silence with a new post on his Instagram page. He shared photos from his successful show at the London stadium, where he filled the 80,000-capacity venue.
