CAMPAIGN PERIOD IS OVER, IT'S TIME FOR GOVERNANCE - FINTIRI

Adamawa State Governor, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has warned politicains to refrain from using the media in spreading false narrations aimed at undermining the efforts of government.

According to Governor Fintiri campaign period is over, now is the time for governance.

The Governor stated this when he met with Yola-South stakeholders, on a courtesy visit to the Government House, Yola on Wednesday.

He said, " Elections have come and gone, so let's avoid overheating the polity, with fallacies and fabricated imaginations aimed at undermining the government and the mandate given to us by the people. As a government, we will not tolerate any unhealthy behavior. With elections now over, it is time to focus on the business of governance."

Fintiri also assured the Yola South delegation of the readiness of the administration to address the problem of water scarcity particularly in Yola South local government very soon. 

The Governor called on the people of the state to rise above ethic, religious and tribal differences and live together in peace and harmony with each other.

According to Governor Fintiri,his administration remains committed to fulfilling its campaign promise to the good people of the state.

Earlier in his address, the Council Chairman of Yola South, Engr. Hamidu Muhammed Njoboli who led the delegation expressed appreciation to the governor for appointing their sons, SSG Awwal Tukur, State Auditor General, Usman Ahmed, into his cabinet.

Engineer Hamidu commended the governor for his developmental strides, particularly in the council which is part of the metropolis while assuring him of the total support and loyalty of the stakeholders.
