Empowering Education: Kano State Polytechnic Partners with Mona Institute for Part-Time Programs
In a dedicated endeavor to enrich the learning landscape and broaden educational avenues for the upcoming generation, Kano State Polytechnic (KSP) has embarked on a strategic collaboration with the Mona Institute of Hospitality, Tourism, Management, and Research Development of Nigeria. This partnership aims to provide part-time B.Sc., M.Sc., and PGD programs through the Directorate of Part-time Programs at Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing event witnessed the Chairman of the Institute, John Daniel, express his satisfaction with the resolute commitment and enthusiasm demonstrated by KSP's management in actualizing this partnership. He underscored the rationale behind choosing KSP, highlighting its exceptional standards, credibility in terms of faculty, and advanced equipment.
Dr. Muhammad Umar Kibiya, Deputy Rector and Chairman of the Linkages and Collaboration Committee, also addressed the gathering. He affirmed the potential of this collaboration to yield substantial benefits, elevating not only Kano State Polytechnic but also the region and the nation as a whole.
Associate Prof. Kabir Bello Dungurawa, the Rector of KSP, commended the Mona Institute for its courageous decision to align with KSP. He emphasized that this partnership would furnish students and individuals aspiring to augment their qualifications with a golden opportunity to do so within their chosen fields. Furthermore, he urged the Institute to uphold stringent academic benchmarks, reiterating KSP Management's unwavering dedication to this endeavor.
The Rector implored the Institute to safeguard its established standards and reputation.
Meanwhile, the spectrum of programs offered by KSP will be extended to encompass PGD and M.Sc. levels. The following B.Sc. programs have received approval:
