"Confession: Kidnapper Reveals Receiving Only N470,000 Out of N8 Million Ransom" 

A 25-year-old man by the name of Gaiya Mallam Usman has been arrested following an intensive manhunt conducted by the operatives of the Adamawa State Police Command in connection to a kidnapping case.

Gaiya, who hails from Tambo in Girei LGA, along with four others who are currently on the run, was involved in the abduction of three individuals from the community, and they managed to secure a ransom of N8 million.

During the interrogation, Gaiya confessed that he had received only N470,000 out of the N8 million collected from the victims' families. He explained that he had used his share to purchase clothes.

He further revealed that the group had accumulated this money from three separate operations recently. After thorough questioning, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, the spokesperson of the Command, stated that the Commissioner of Police, CP Afolabi Babatola, has ordered the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to conduct a comprehensive investigation and ensure the prosecution of the suspect once the investigation is completed.
