Sila Nanotechnologies Inc., a cutting-edge US company specializing in battery materials for the next generation, has appointed Abbey Omokhodion as its Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
Ms. Omokhodion, a seasoned executive with a rich background, including CFO roles at Fortune 100 companies like Intel and General Electric, joins Sila after serving as the CFO for The Programmable Solutions group at Intel Corporation.
Bringing a wealth of experience in the industrial and automotive sectors, along with expertise in business building and sustainable growth, Ms. Omokhodion spent over six years at Intel and nearly a decade at GE. At GE, she pioneered the Lighting-as-a-Service business, introducing innovative business models and expanding the company's reach. Her extensive career also includes significant roles at Ford Motor Company, spanning finance responsibilities in manufacturing, marketing, sales, treasury, and product development.
Sila, founded in 2011 with a mission to drive the world's transition to clean energy, is at a pivotal stage of transitioning from an R&D organization to a leading manufacturing company. In 2021, Sila achieved a milestone by shipping the world's first commercially available silicon anode for lithium-ion batteries, leading to enhanced battery performance in various consumer electronics. Sila's Titan Silicon anode is poised to power electric vehicles, including a forthcoming version of the Mercedes-Benz G-Class, and will be integrated into Panasonic Energy's next-generation lithium-ion batteries, further supporting the automotive industry.

Her responsibilities will encompass financial oversight, structural and operational rigor in financial processes, and strategic organizational leadership.
