Gov Fintiri Swears In Members Of Boards, Commissions, Warns Against Corruption


Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri swears into office newly appointed members of Adamawa State Boards and Commissions with a charge on them to eschew corruption in their respective offices.


At the event which held in the Banquet Hall Government House, Yola, Thursday Governor Umaru Fintiri says his administration is committed to addressing the economic challenges facing the people.

The Governor challenges the appointees to embrace transparency and accountability, saying any form of corruption will not be tolerated, and those found guilty will be shown the way out. 


He urged the appointees to thoroughly digest the eight-point agenda of his administration and be guided by it as according to him, the government is determined to change the narrative of how things are done in the state.

The Governor added that “the progress we have made today is a result of sacrifices and commitment to leaving a legacy of hard work and determination to bequeath a better future for the next generation. 


“Let us work together to build a better Adamawa State, where everyone has a sense of belonging and our collective vision is achieved. Let us write a new chapter in our state’s history, one that is defined by progress, inclusivity, and good governance.”


In his vote of thanks on behalf of the newly inaugurated appointees, the Chairman Civil Service Commission, Barrister Musa Kaibo thanked Governor Fintiri for giving them the opportunity to serve the State. 


The Chairman commended the Governor for the transformational drive recorded by his administration, assuring that they will complement his efforts by justifying the confidence reposed in them.

The attorney general and commissioner of Justice, Barrister Afraimu Jingi administered the oath of office and allegiance on the new chairmen and members of the commissions and boards.


Among others inaugurated are chairmen and members of Local Government Pension board, Planning Commission, Health Services Management Board, Fiscal Responsibility Commission and Universal Basic Education among others.
