 CALL FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST

9-MONTH VOCATIONAL TRAINING PROGRAMME FOR TSANGAYA STUDENTS

The National Commission for Almajiri and Out-of-School Children’s Education (NCAOSCE) is
pleased to invite applications from eligible Tsangaya students for a 9-month vocational
training programme. This initiative aims to equip students with market-relevant skills,
promote self-sufficiency, and enhance their overall well-being.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

To be eligible for this programme, applicants must:
1. Be enrolled in a Tsangaya school
2. Be a memorizer of the Qur’an
3. Be between 16 and 26 years old
4. Be physically healthy and able to participate in training sessions from 8am to 6pm
5. Have obtained the approval of their teacher and parents
6. Not have any pending issues with security agencies or the courts

SELECTION AND NEXT STEPS

Selected applicants will be contacted by the commission for further instructions on the
programme.



PROGRAMME COMMENCEMENT
The programme is expected to commence on or before 15th February, 2025.
MB: A separate programme targeting out-of-school individuals nationwide will be announced
in two weeks’ time. Interested persons are advised to wait for the forthcoming
announcement.
