About the Project

CARE Nigeria is implementing the Enhancing Resilience in Frontline Community Healthcare (EnRiCH) Project to support the professional development of 2,000 frontline healthcare workers (FLHWs) in Katsina State through a digital learning platform.

This project aims to:
Improve healthcare delivery for 1 million people in 200,000 households.
✔ Provide training, support, and financial empowerment through Village Savings and Loans Associations (VSLAs).
✔ Strengthen community engagement and advocacy to improve healthcare policies.

Key Responsibilities

1. Communication Strategy & Branding

📌 Develop and implement a communication and visibility plan for the project.
📌 Ensure brand consistency across all project materials.
📌 Organize community engagement activities to promote project awareness.

2. Advocacy & Policy Engagement

📌 Support the development of an advocacy plan to address healthcare policy gaps.
📌 Conduct research and analysis on relevant healthcare policies.
📌 Prepare advocacy materials, such as policy briefs, fact sheets, and reports.
📌 Build relationships with government officials, civil society organizations, and community leaders.
📌 Organize advocacy events, campaigns, and meetings to push for healthcare improvements.

3. Media & Stakeholder Engagement

📌 Develop and maintain relationships with media outlets, government agencies, and community stakeholders.
📌 Monitor and analyze media coverage and social media engagement.

4. Digital & Social Media Management

📌 Manage the project’s social media and website for regular updates.
📌 Monitor online engagement and feedback from users of the digital learning platform.
📌 Stay updated on trends and best practices in digital communication and advocacy.

5. Reporting & Risk Management

📌 Track and document communication activities and impact.
📌 Provide regular reports on visibility, media engagement, and advocacy efforts.

Requirements & Qualifications

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Political Science, or related field.
At least 3 years of experience in communications and/or advocacy, preferably in the non-profit sector.
Strong media relations and social media management experience.
✔ Experience in developing communication and advocacy plans.
✔ Ability to conduct policy research and analysis.
✔ Strong interpersonal, relationship-building, and teamwork skills.
