Job Description

The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Intern will play a key role in designing, coordinating, and implementing the monitoring, evaluation, research, and learning framework of Plan International’s projects.

The intern will develop systematic monitoring tools to improve the quality of data collection, analysis, and reporting. Additionally, they will provide technical support to implementing partners to ensure effective monitoring, governance, and reporting systems.

Key Responsibilities

📌 Develop and implement M&E frameworks to track project progress and impact.
📌 Support data collection, analysis, and reporting to enhance decision-making.
📌 Provide technical assistance to project teams and implementing partners on monitoring, evaluation, and governance issues.
📌 Create and maintain project databases to ensure accurate and systematic data management.
📌 Develop monthly, quarterly, and annual reports based on project performance and outcomes.
📌 Ensure that monitoring activities align with Plan International’s guidelines and global best practices.
📌 Assist in organizing trainings, workshops, and learning sessions for program staff and stakeholders.
📌 Ensure compliance with child protection standards (UNCRC) and Do No Harm principles in all project activities.

Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Social Sciences, Information/Data Management, or related fields.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E), Data Management, or humanitarian projects.
✔ Strong IT and data management skills, including experience with database development and maintenance.
✔ Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methods.
✔ Good understanding of child protection principles, especially UNCRC and Do No Harm policies.
✔ Ability to analyze, interpret, and present data effectively.
✔ Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
